Joey Bastian is a passionate and multifaceted musician and audio producer from Buffalo, NY. With a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a minor in Digital Music Production from Buffalo State University, Joey continues to hone his craft in both music performance and production. He is a proud member of the Muriel A. Howard Honors Program, maintaining a GPA of 3.57.
Joey has an impressive portfolio of work as a Music Coordinator for 91.3 FM WBNY, where he curated and sourced over 2,000 songs, including a significant number from local Buffalo talent. He also co-hosted the Armando and Joey Power Hour from 2023 to 2024.
Today, Joey continues to build a solid reputation as a freelance audio and video producer, creating jingles, producing music as JOEYB, with his band Twin Affairs, and managing his YouTube channel, joetalks.
His musical talents also extend to various performance groups, where he plays multiple instruments, including bass guitar, drum set, trumpet, and ukulele. Joseph's involvement in the Buffalo State Jazz Ensemble and Wind Ensemble, as well as acts like Spiria, Sunburn, Cobraz, and The Quentet, showcases his versatility as a musician.
In addition to his musical pursuits, Joseph has gained valuable experience through his time at Mammoth Studios in Buffalo, NY, where he assisted with sound engineering tasks, and where he now operates as an independent producer.
Joseph's technical skills include proficiency in Logic Pro, Audacity, Canva, and CapCut. He is also skilled in soundboard operation, stagehand work, and front-of-house tasks.
